There are so many ways to get creative with your front porch for the holidays (and even into the winter months afterwards). You can go thematic, monochromatic, elaborate or simple. There really isn't a "wrong" way to decorate your porch, it's about what speaks to you and makes you feel happy. Your front porch should be the area that welcomes your guests for a visit...so make it inviting and a reflection of your own personal style.
If you aren't sure where to start when it comes to decorating your front porch for the holidays, I like to suggest three simple components:
A wreath on the door
Garland framing the front door (usually about 15 feet for across the top and down both sides of the doorway)
Porch Pots on both sides of the door or at the top of the porch steps
And that is it! Once you have tried your hand with these three, you can expand to include window wreaths, garland wrapped pillars, and many more creative ideas. The idea is to start small and build on that so you don't get overwhelmed.
Here are three great sources for inspiration that I recently found online. There is a wide variety of fresh greenery and material (which I absolutely love) used in so many creative ways. I hope you enjoy this inspiration as much as I did!
Have photos of your own front porch decorated with fresh greenery? I would LOVE to see them! Sign up and post in the comments below...you can add a photo there too!
